The Melker Ulvön is a serious expedition kayak with a playful character

Description
Ulvön’s efficient and versatile design deftly blends the long waterline, minimal rocker and sleek dimensions of a speed-centric and high-performance kayak with a more play-oriented shallow-V hull and semi-hard chines.
The extended waterline gives Melker Ulvön an excellent glide and high cruising speed with very little effort, making it possible to cover longer distances with exceptional ease and velocity.
During the longest crossings and in the roughest ocean conditions the Ulvön still behaves very stable, comfortable and predictable.
With the large volume in the bow, the kayak also offers an exceptional performance catching bigger waves and swells on downwind runs.
The kayak’s playfulness shows itself with the semi-hard chines and refined curves, which gives the kayak a bomber end stability and great maneuverability, offering predictable and comfortable carving turns.
The more open cockpit is optimized for optimal legroom, efficient power strokes and rotation, still the integrated and padded thigh support offers great control during the toughest crossings and conditions, making the Ulvön a perfect after-work exercise buddy, as well as a true expedition companion for the absolutely longest adventures.
The Ulvön comes with the all-new premium seat with exceptional comfort and easy sit-in adjustability. The seat also comes in three different sizes ( S / M / L ) and can be mounted in three different positions, which makes it possible to tailor the cockpit experience for every variety, preference, and size of the paddler.
Ulvön LV and HV both come with the Medium seat installed as standard (seat compatibility scheme below).

The adjustable and rope operated skeg allows for true tracking. The maneuverability and tracking can be even further enhanced with the pre-installed responsive and retractable rudder, making it possible to master the most challenging conditions.
Two big oval hatches in the aft and the bow swallow ALL your needed gear with ease and offer that extra space for a bit of luxury during the longest expeditions.
The big 20cm day hatch is placed directly behind the cockpit, where the paddler can easily access the packed lunch, a camera or an extra jacket.
The smart recessed area on the fore deck, just in front of the cockpit, holds the water bottle or the pump in place – or simply out of the way.
